Details

The Unwanted Sexual Contact Reporting and Sexual Harassment Complaints in the Active Component: Findings From the 2021 Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Military Members (2021 WGR) report presents results from the 2021 WGR regarding unwanted sexual contact and sexual harassment reporting and complaints as well as Service members’ experiences with using the response and complaint systems. This report focuses on outlining key insights related to reporting and complaints in the Active component.

The purpose of the 2021 WGR is to provide the official prevalence estimates for unwanted sexual contact, sexual harassment, and gender discrimination among military members; assess attitudes and perceptions about personnel programs and policies designed to reduce the occurrence of these unwanted behaviors; and, to provide assessments of the military’s gender relations climate. Another feature of the WGR surveys is the ability to assess progress on the factors related to prevention and response.
