In addition to survey items (e.g., demographics, retention intention) used in all Status of Forces Surveys (SOFS), the June 2008 SOFS-R included items on reunion and reintegration, civilian work, employer support, reemployment after activation/deployment, language capability, personal work experience, the military workplace, injuries, the Trafficking in Persons program, and civilian occupational certification/licensure.
