In addition to survey items (i.e., demographics, retention, satisfaction, tempo, stress, and readiness) used in all Status of Forces Surveys (SOFS), the January 2011 SOFS-R included items on tempo; employment; health care; reunion and reintegration; Military OneSource; financial health; programs, services, and benefits; education; language training; attitudes toward military service/lifestyle; relatives serving in the Armed Forces; and combat zone tax credit.
