The 2018 Department of Defense Civilian Employee Workplace and Gender Relations Survey (2018 WGRC) fulfills the Congressional mandate outlined in Title 10 USC 481a for biennial assessments of gender relations in the DoD civilian workplace. It was designed to assess self-reported experiences of, the climate surrounding, reporting, and policy effectiveness at preventing work-related sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and sexual assault in the DoD civilian workplace. The 2018 WGRC is the second of its kind administered to appropriated fund employees and first of its kind administered to nonappropriated fund employees to meet this statutory requirements. It was conducted from October 12, 2018 to December 18, 2018. Estimates for select survey questions are found in the Department of Defense Civilian Employee Workplace and Gender Relations Report for Fiscal Year 2018: Biennial Report to Congress (DoD, 2020) posted publicly at Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) Reports.
